The Secret UAV: Northrop Grumman Model-437
American aerospace company Northrop Grumman has been working on the secretive Model-437 UAV for some time. Although it was briefly introduced to the world in 2021, it has remained largely out of the public eye since then.
Recently, the Model-437 was spotted being moved between hangars and was photographed by an anonymous Twitter user. The UAV’s body design and operations appear to be complete, and there is a particularly notable detail: a cockpit.
The photos taken at the Mojave Air and Space Port clearly show that the Model-437 has a cockpit. This suggests that there may have been a conceptual shift in the UAV, or it might be capable of both manned and unmanned operations.
In 2017, Northrop Grumman introduced the Model-401, an experimental jet designed for speed and aerodynamics. The wing structure of the Model-437 appears to be a more advanced version of that found in the Model-401.
